I don't think the previous firmware had any security issues.

I cleared the browser history, used just every browser available, reset and restarted the router 1000 times.If anyone here can decipher it and provide some insight re ports or ways to stop CL from updating/connecting to the router, please text me privately with your email and I will gladly send it to you! It looks as if it dumps just about everything about the router. The only telnet command that I was able to run and which filled the screen with a ton of router information has been 'dumpsysinfo'.I tried forwarding or closing the ports suggested by some of you who posted here.Someone here posted a link to the old firmware which worked when routed was flashed successfully with the older firmware but only worked (cluster of missing options appeared) for a while and until CL pushed the new version on it.I found out that others experienced the same issue after their routers have updated to the latest firmware.Here's what I did and I hope someone can help further: If you have it, please drop me a line and let's connect! I will make it up to you somehow :-)ДЄs of today (09/28/20), I have not been able to fix this. I need help and I hope someone might have saved a previous version of the firmware for this router ( ZYXEL C3000Z). I need to get those features back as I use them for controlling my kid's screen time, etc. Complete bullshit but there's no way to get through these morons! It's like talking to beings from another planet. that 'those features were there temporarily and in fact, my fiber service - which is the SimplePay at $65/month - does not give me access to those features!'. this should captured in a script and used in some comedic sitcom. I knew what I was dealing with but I had to give them a chance (I almost had a panic attack in the process dealing with these clowns!). I knew the horror stories that people had to put up with when calling this company. The new firmware absolutely took these options away! I was completely blown away by the sheer stupidity of these people! I called them and over a period of three business days and after being put on hold for an average of 45 to 60 minutes, I was able to get through their customer service. They were nestled together as: Blocking/Filtering Prior to this update, the admin menu offered a very simple Blocking/Filtering options under Advanced Settings. I had the modem on since April and the same as the tech set it up but had to do a hard reset the other day and part of the setup, the router flashed automatically to the latest firmware (CZD005-4.16.011.0.bin). I have not had any issues with the service (I live in St. Included in the deal was this ZYXEL C3000Z Router which has been actually pretty good for our home size. Publicly available information such as CenturyLink and US Government employees' names and business emails are fine- if not intended for harassment.
